FAQ: Can my Higher Self help me improve my relationships with others?
Yes and No (how is that for an answer?) Many times, people seek the advice of their Higher Selves to achieve a more favorable result in their relationships with others. Yet, let me warn you that the only person your Higher Self can and will suggest changes for is YOU.
Your Higher Self will never suggest that another person change because that would be interfering with their life contract, with their freedom of choice, and with their sacred space.
However, a relationship is much like a ballroom dance. Once you change your steps, your partner has no choice but to change theirs (unless they want to get stepped on). So they will decide to do one of three things.
The old saying is true: "for things to change, you must change." The only person you have the power to change is you. The point of power for change is now. Remember the classic definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Unless you are fully ready to accept the consequences of making a change, you might want to reconsider making it at all.
Once people have followed the advice of their Higher Selves in regard to a relationship, one of two things will happen.
Whatever happens, be sure to remember two things. First, it is always for the best. Second, and mostly importantly, that it happened by agreement at the highest level.
If you are seeking a change in the dynamic of your relationships, then there are some exercises that you can do at home to improve the energetic space around them. The best one is "The Loving Kindness Meditation" for it achieves "results" in the fastest, most harmonious manner for yourself and the other person(s).
